The Model S411 is a classic design, dating from 1932. The spring-cushioned armchair comes in a wonderfully flowing decorative frame with chromed tubes and long wood armrests. Its seating consists of layers of springs, horse hair, and African grass. The brown wool cushion is woven in a chocolate color tone and has the word Gispen stamped on it in an oval frame.
Model is in pretty good condition and solidly built. The piece comes in a wonderfully flowing decorative tubular chrome frame in excellent shape, no signs of rust.
Was designed by the Dutch designer Willem Hendrik Gispen in 1932. He was an industrial designer, best known for his Giso lamps and serially produced functionalist steel-tube furniture.

The tubular frame is in fair shape, with scuffing and scratches visible throughout.
